GT40 MKII 427
Chassis # P/201 (As allocated by Ford)
The first Holman & Moody “continued production” car, built by Lee Holman of Holman Automotive to the authentic period specification of the original Le Mans winning cars.
Constructed with a correct and now unobtainable Tennant Panels Tub and in virtually all respects identical to the original 1966 cars. This car, completed in September 1992, was even built up by the original star personnel including Jim Rose, Jimmy Tucker, Roy Butfoy, Fred Martin Junior, Lee Willyard, Larry Wallace and Tommy Turner.
This specification includes a period correct 427ci side oiler V8 recently refreshed by Peter Knight and the correct t-44 transmission. The body is finished in Corinthian White with the distinctive Holman and Moody Blue ID livery as per P/1016, Le Mans ’66.
This is a very well known high profile car which has been displayed at the Ford 100th and has been in a private European collection for some years since. Recently the course car at the Goodwood 74th MM. UK road registered, a current MOT and current HTP make it a uniquely adaptable and unrepeatable investment proposition- quite outstanding and devastatingly desirable.
