The roots behind Bill Shepherd Automotive can be traced back to the mid 1980's, where a young Bill acquired a 1964 Cobra to race in the AMOC Intermarque championship. Shortly afterwards, Bill went pro, forming the race team that restored and rebuilt many of the Cobras you now see on a recurrent Revival RAC TT grid. Since then, the team has evolved substantially, becoming the absolute go-to outfit, not just for Cobras, but also for historic V8 powered touring and sports cars.

Based out of our facility in Byfleet, Surrey, some of the worlds most legendary 60s racecars have graced our hydraulic ramps. The team, comprising of experienced professionals from the highest echelons of motorsport, as well as, fresh 'new eyes' alike, understand thoroughly the nuances of making these cars work. Our shop sports state-of-the-art component dyno facilities, data based development, and R&D and machining facilities bested only by those of the current Formula 1 teams.
